Long Range Precision Rifle Training

LONG RANGE PRECISION 1.0

NOTE: This is a beginner Long Range Precision course NOT a beginner rifle course

NOTE: This course is very similar to our LRP1.5 Course, if you can shoot a 1-1.5″ five shot group at 100 yards and are familiar with basic scope operation you can take the LRP 1.5 Course.  If these courses are full look into our LRP1.5 course or call Jackson if you have questions concerning your skill level.  Most guys taking 1.0 and 1.5 have not shot beyond 200 yards.  WE go over the basics a little faster in the 1.5, so if you have the basics down, the 1.5 may be for you.

If you only shoot 100 or maybe 200 yards at your range and you want to learn the basics of Long Range shooting, this is the course for you.  You must be able to shoot between a 1.5″ FIVE shot group at 100 yards, so we know you have the basics of being a good trigger puller down.  You must have a rifle set up capable of consistency at 1000 yards and know the basics of operation of the weapon system.  (Call Jackson, he is happy to go over your rifle set up with you)  $850.00 includes bunkhouse/clubhouse for 2 nights

LONG RANGE PRECISION 1.5

Lewistown, PA Range

NOTE: Must be familiar with basic scope operation and be able to shoot a 1-1.5″  5 shot group at 100 yards

For those who have a good long range rifle setup, a basic knowledge of how a scope works, and regularly shoot a 1-1.5″ group at 100 yards, this is a good course for you. Most people taking this course have not shot past 200 yards, so don’t be shy about signing up if you meet these requirements.  If you are good at 100 yards, you will have no trouble at 1000 yards.

This course follows the same basic outline as the LRP 1.0 course, the difference being we don’t spend as much time on the basics.  If you have questions about your skill level and are wondering if this is the right course for you Call Jackson @ 631-902-0972, he is happy to go over the course with you.

LONG RANGE 2.0 / HUNTER Combo

Includes 2 hours of engaging targets from 1100 yards to 1 Mile

Hunting Rifles Allowed – No UKD in this Course

This course will improve on the fundamentals learned in our 1.5 course (or similar with another company).  The natural rolling hillside terrain and 120* field of fire increases the difficultly.  It will be a very demanding individual effort class all shot at unknown ranges between 100-900 yards, plus the bonus 2 hour shoot from 1100-1800 yards.. Shooters will be tasked with ranging (yes you can use a range finder for most of the course) and shooting over 50 pieces of steel scattered about the hillside, including life sized animal targets. Shooters will be allowed to implement various shooting positions and or equipment that they choose.  This course will also include instruction how to shoot off a tripod, a tank trap, rooftop and more.

Long Range SPOTTER-SHOOTER

This was one of the favorite courses of 2023, so we are bringing it back. If you want to become a better shooter, learn to become a better spotter. In the “spotter/sniper team”, the spotter is the more important role in our opinion.  While we know you most likely aren’t going to be in a Marine Scout Sniper, but if you do any type of long-range shooting with a buddy, or hunting with friends, this course will be invaluable. The information you will gain from helping another shooter correct elevation and calling wind will benefit you tremendously as a shooter. You will take turns with your partner shooting and spotting, giving wind estimates, correcting elevation, and learning to give quick wind corrections.  This is a course every long-range shooter should take.

Sign up with a buddy or we can pair you with another single.

LEWISTOWN PA LODGING DETAILS

Camping and RV parking on the grounds is free at the Lewistown PA Range ONLY.  There are several hotels in the area, the Super 8 Burnham which is 3 miles down the road. (okay, but some of the rooms smell like smoke).  I would recommend the Holiday Inn Reedsville over the Super 8.

TEMPLETON PA LODGING DETAILS

The Ben Franklin Range is located at 1130 Ridge Road, Templeton PA.  The range house is very nice, it has a full kitchen, outdoor grill and patio, 3 showers, living room and it is where all the instructors stay.  You can book a BUNK at the range house (they are bunk beds you will share with others) The bunks book like a hotel room on their website.  https://benfranklinrange.com/events/

There are plenty of nice hotels and restaurants in Kittanning PA which is about 20 minute drive to the range. There are also plenty of BNB’s nearby, and Bear Ridge Campground for RV’s
